Description

Timbers is a house dating from the mid-16th century. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill and a hipped plain tiled roof that has end gablets. The building may have originally been a hall house, but it now has a lobby entry. It is two storeys high and has a multiple inserted stack located to the left of centre. The first floor has curved bracing to the left of centre and to the left side. There are four framed bays, with five leaded casement windows on the first floor and four windows below. To the left of centre, there is a part-glazed door situated in a porch with a hipped roof. Additionally, there is a pentice catslide on the left end and the first floor on the left-hand return front is tile hung.
