Description
Hamshere Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on the north side of The Street in Wonersh. It features a timber frame that is clad in whitewashed render at the front, with the exposed frame visible on the left-hand return front, which has brick infill. The cottage has a half-hipped roof covered with plain tiles and stands two storeys tall, with an end stack on the left and a rear stack on the right.
On the first floor, there are two diamond-pane leaded casement windows, while the ground floor has three windows: a central three-light window and two outer two-light windows, all under cambered heads. To the right, there is a single-storey range that includes a four-light mullioned and transomed window alongside a stable-style door. The cottage also has extensions at the rear and a tile-hung gable end on the left-hand return front.
