Description
Thyme Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was altered in the 20th century. It features a timber frame that is exposed on the right-hand return front, with brick infilling. The end is clad with whitewashed render and tile hanging above. The roof is plain tiled and half-hipped at the end, and the cottage is positioned at right angles to the street. It is two storeys high and has three framed bays, with a stack located at the rear end.
On the street-facing end, there are two 20th-century windows on both the first and ground floors. The left-hand return front has one window on the first floor and two on the ground floor. The right-hand return front serves as the entrance and features a 20th-century dormer to the right over a pentice extension. There is also one window each on the first and ground floors to the left, along with a flat-roofed 20th-century porch and door to the left.
