Description
The Seven Stars Public House is a public house dating from the 17th century, which was remodelled and extended in the 19th century. The building features 19th-century red brick on the left-hand return front, with a whitewashed brick ground floor and tile hung above. The right-hand extension is constructed of brick and weatherboard, and the roofs are plain tiled.
It stands two storeys high with a stack located to the right of centre. On the first floor, there are two horizontally sliding sash windows located at the centre and left, and a metal framed casement window to the right. The ground floor has three 3-light windows, with half-glazed doors positioned to the left and right of centre. There is a pentice extension at the left end and a single storey extension to the right, which includes three top-hung 20th-century windows and a door to the right. The rear has 20th-century extensions.
Inside, the pub features a deep brick fireplace, an exposed ceiling frame, and preserved 17th-century wall text.
