Description

1 Upper Church Lane is a late 18th-century building that stands two storeys high, constructed of red brick on a projecting plinth, topped with an old tile roof. The first floor features two modern two-light casement windows with louvred shutters, while the ground floor has a similar three-light window on the left side. The central entrance consists of a plain door framed by a reeded architrave and a flat hood supported by shallow cut brackets. A modern shop has been added to the right side of the building. This property is listed for its group value alongside Nos. 1 to 4 (consecutive) and No. 22 Dowing Street.
