Description
This is a 17th-century barn located to the north of Blackhanger Farm House. It has a timber frame set on a brick and sandstone base, with some areas of cement rendering infilling the frame, which consists of thin scantling. The barn features weatherboard cladding on the ends and has a plain tiled roof that is half-hipped on the left side, extending with a hip on the right. The structure includes four framed bays with entrances that are positioned opposite each other to the right of the center; however, the rear entrance is now partially blocked. Inside, there is a queen-post, clasped purlin roof supported by diagonal braces attached to the wall frame.
