Description

Friendly Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th century to the left, and the 17th century to the right. The left side is timber framed with red, blue, and brown brick infill, while the right side is partially underbuilt in brick on the ground floor. The roof is tiled, hipped with a gablet to the left, half-hipped with a gablet to the right, and steps up to the right. The cottage has two storeys with an attic to the left, which is under a hipped dormer. A multiple stack is located to the right of centre. There is one first-floor window to the left and two to the right. Architectural details include ogee bracing to the first floor on the right, and diagonal bracing to the left. The ground floor has one window to the right and two to the left. A 20th-century brick and timber hipped roof porch shelters the door located to the right of centre. A hipped dormer is present on the left-hand return front.
