Description

The Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century at the rear and the 19th century at the front. It has a timber frame that is exposed at the rear, featuring first floor bracing and brick infill, while the front is clad in brick with a plain tiled roof that is half-hipped to the right. The building has a T-shaped plan with a wing extending at right angles to the rear. It is two storeys tall with an attic, which includes two flat-roofed dormers and gable end windows. The end stacks are larger on the left side. There is a plinth and a plat band above the ground floor. On the first floor, there are two three-light casement windows, and on the ground floor, there are three windows with cambered heads. To the right side of the front, there is a cambered head, part-glazed door, along with another door in a pentice porch to the left side at the junction with the older wing at the rear.
