Description
Hazelhurst Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 17th century and was reclad in the mid-18th century. The rear is timber framed, while the front features red brick cladding and incised render on the right end wall. The cottage has plain tiled roofs and is two storeys high, with rebuilt end stacks that are corbelled and offset to the left. There is a plinth with a plat band above the ground floor. The front has three bays, arranged regularly, with 19th-century wooden top-hung casement windows: three on the first floor and three below, all under cambered relieving courses. To the left of centre, there is a 20th-century panelled door under a cambered head, with a flat porch hood that extends to the adjacent window on the right of centre. At the rear right, there is a single-storey brick wing. Some of the timber frame, made of thin scantling, is visible internally.
