Description
Sussex Farm House is a house dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, which was extended to the right in a timber framed style in the 1930s and further extended to the rear in the 1960s. The building features exposed timber framing with whitewashed render infill, whitewashed brick, and tile hanging above the rear extension. It has plain tiled roofs that are half-hipped at the ends of the cross wings. The house is two storeys high and has a large, corbelled, ribbed square chimney stack to the left of the centre and a corbelled front ridge stack to the right of the centre. There are three casement windows on the first floor in the centre and one window on each floor of the cross wings. Additionally, there is one ground floor window to the left of the centre and a ribbed and studded door to the right of the centre, located in the angle with the cross wing, which is sheltered by an open pentice roof porch on plinth walls.
