Description

Stoneheal is a cottage dating from the 17th century. It was originally timber-framed, but is now largely clad in brown brick with a plain tiled roof. The timber frame remains visible on the right-hand return front, with brick infilling between the framing members. The cottage is two storeys high, with a stack at the right end and a taller stack at the junction with extensions on the left. There are two 19th-century sash windows on the first floor, each with diamond-pane tracery. The ground floor has three cambered-head windows, two of which also have similar glazing bars. The right-hand return front features a pentice porch, which is half-glazed, with a door to the right of the stack. Single-storey hipped roof wings extend to the rear, along with a gabled wing.
