Description
Vigo Farm House is a house that likely dates from the 17th century, with a front that was remodeled in the late 18th century and a 19th-century extension at the rear. It is constructed of red and brown brick and features plain tiled roofs, with red brick extensions that have some tile hanging on the first floor at the rear. The house has two storeys, with the new entrance front located at one end.
The central gable has deep eaves and a blocked roundel window, with stacks on either side of the front. There are 12-pane, glazing bar sash windows, one on each floor of each side, with the first-floor left window painted over. The central door is set in a rendered, rusticated surround with four panels. An early 19th-century balcony spans the front, featuring wrought iron railings with roundel and quatrefoil designs on both the first and ground floors, and a trellis work arch at the center of the ground floor flanked by thin columns.
On the right-hand return front, there is a parapet wall and a large rebuilt central stack. A door is positioned to the right of center within a trellis porch, and there is one 16-pane, glazing-bar sash window on each floor. Inside, the house includes a framed partition wall and a deep fireplace.
