Description
The Mill House is a house dating from the 17th century, with a front likely added in the late 18th century and 19th-century extensions. It is constructed of red brick featuring flared headers and has a plain tile roof with brick stacks. The layout is probably a baffle-entry plan. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century glazed door with an overlight, flanked by tripartite sashes on either side. There is a brick band between the ground and first floors, and the first floor has three 4-pane sashes. A dentil cornice runs along the eaves, with a central ridge stack and an end stack on the right. The right-hand return shows irregular fenestration, mainly consisting of 12-pane unhorned sashes. To the left, there is a subsidiary 19th-century extension featuring a 6-panel part-glazed door and a single light window under a catslide roof. The interior has not been inspected.
