Description
The Grange is a house located in North Stoke, dating from the 17th century, with alterations and extensions from the 18th and 19th centuries. The building is constructed of flint with brick dressings and features a plain tile roof with a brick stack on the right side. It has two storeys and a three-window range. The entrance consists of a four-panel door with a light above and side lights to the right. The left and center windows are 12-pane horizontal sliding sashes, and there is a brick band between the ground and first floors. A 19th-century verandah with a tiled hipped lean-to roof is present. On the first floor, there are three 9-pane sashes with louvred shutters, and a wooden dentil cornice runs along the eaves. The roof is hipped to the left. The left return of the building is made of red brick with grey headers, also two storeys high with a five-window range and irregular fenestration, including a 17th-century cross-window on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
