Description

Kimberley Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a plain tile roof with a brick stack at the rear. The building has a two-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic, presenting a two-window range. There is a 20th-century door at the center, which is sheltered by an open rustic timber frame porch topped with a gabled plain tile roof. To the left, there is a 2-light wood leaded casement window with a segmental brick head, and to the right, a 3-light wood leaded casement window also with a segmental head. The eaves are adorned with a dentil cornice, and there are two gabled dormers on the right return, supported by a Queen post roof truss. The interior has not been inspected, and there is a lean-to extension on the right return. The cottage is included as a complete example of its type.
