Description

The Church Cottages are probably late 17th century houses. They are timber-framed with painted brick infill, and have a plain tile roof and a brick end stack on the right-hand side. The houses follow a two-unit plan. They are two storeys high with a two-window front. A central plank door is sheltered by a gabled tiled hood supported on wooden brackets. The ground floor has a single-light wooden casement to the left, a two-light wooden casement to the left of centre, and a three-light wooden casement to the right of centre. A projection to the right has a lean-to roof and a two-light wooden casement on the first floor to the left, and a three-light wooden casement to the right. The interior has not been inspected. A house to the right incorporates some timber framing and may be of a cross-wing layout.
