Description

Milestone located on the west side of Reading Road in Cholsey, dating from the 18th century. It is made of stone and has a half-circular shape with an angled top. The inscription reads "Oxford..., Wallingford 2, Reading 13", and it features "Jackson Reading" at the base. This milestone is reputed to be a rare type.
