Description

The Forge is a 17th-century house located on the east side of Honey Lane in Cholsey. It features roughcast exterior, likely built on timber framing, and has an old plain-tile roof with a rendered ridge stack positioned to the right of the center. The building is two stories high and has a four-window range that runs at right angles to the street. There is a sash door located to the left of the center, and all openings have 20th-century wooden casements. The rear of the house shows timber framing with painted brick infill. Inside, the property boasts extensive beaming.
