Description

This is a 17th-century house located on the south side of Ilges Lane, Cholsey. The house is constructed of painted brick with a thatched roof, featuring a brick ridge stack in the centre and an end stack to the left. It is built as a single-storey and attic dwelling with a two-window front, set at a right angle to the street. A plank door is positioned to the left of centre, with a segmental brick head, and a second plank door is located to the right, also with a segmental brick head. A two-light wooden casement window is situated to the left, and another two-light wooden casement window is to the right of centre. There are two gabled dormers; one to the left of centre with a three-light wooden casement, and one to the right of centre with a two-light wooden casement. Timber framing is visible on the gable end of the right return. The ground floor centre includes an open fireplace.
