Description

This milestone, located on the west side of Wallingford Road in Streatley, dates from the late 18th century. It is made of white painted stone with black lettering and has a semi-circular section with a chamfered top. The inscriptions on the milestone indicate the distances to Oxford (18 miles) on the top, and to Wallingford (5 miles) and Reading (10 miles) on the side.
