Description

Place Manor is a house dating back to the 17th century, with substantial late 19th-century additions to the east and north. The original part is constructed of flint with brick dressings; the later additions are rendered with timber framing and rendered infill panels. The roof is tiled with a large central ridge stack at the rear, featuring four diamond-shaped shafts, and three stacks on the east additions. A gabled wing projects to the right, featuring a first-floor mullioned and transomed window, and two single-light ground floor casement windows. A hipped central bay with a raking dormer is positioned to the left, and it has three leaded cross windows on each floor. Two hipped wings project to the left, each with a single first-floor two-light casement window. The house is two storeys and has an attic. A first-floor two-light casement is placed off-centre to the right above a lean-to tiled porch, which has two half-glazed doors and flanking lights. A lean-to tiled porch is also positioned to the left, with a four-light casement window to the left and a half-glazed door to the right.
