Description

Limeswell is a seventeenth-century house with alterations and additions dating to the nineteenth century. It is located on the north side of Streatley High Street. Originally described as a cottage opposite Turknell, the building has a timber frame with later brick facing on the south side and planted timbers on the east and west elevations. The roof is tiled, comprising three ranges, with an end stack to the left and a higher range in the centre featuring a large central stack. The facade is characterised by three gables, the central one containing a two-light casement window. The house has two storeys and a garret. It features two framed bays. There are three segmental-headed, two-light casement windows on the first floor and three on the ground floor. A segmental-headed, boarded front door is located off-centre to the right, positioned between the first and second windows from the right.
