Description

The Willows is a house dating from the late 17th century, with a front facade dating to the early 18th century and alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick, with an old plain-tile roof and brick stacks. The house has an L-shaped plan, with a cross-wing to the left. It is two storeys high with a two-window front. A plank door is located to the left of the cross-wing. The windows are generally 3-light wooden casements with segmental brick heads, except for a 6-pane sash window on the ground floor to the right. A dentil course runs along the eaves on the right side. The cross-wing has a cross-gable and a gabled dormer with 2-light casements. The main roof is hipped to the left. There are end and ridge stacks, one to the right and one to the left on the cross wing. The interior features extensive original beams.
