Description
Causeway House is a 17th-century house with later additions, located on the east side of Church Road in Cholsey. The house is constructed of timber framing with red brick infill, and has an old plain-tile roof, hipped to the right, with brick end stacks to the left and right. It is two storeys high, with a two-window front. A pair of glazed double doors are located on the left-hand side. A three-light leaded casement window is to the right, and a two-light casement window is on the first floor to the right. A wood bay window, supported by brackets, projects from the first floor on the left. Irregular timber framing is visible at the rear, along with some medieval-style windows with later glazing. The interior has not been inspected. A two-storey, three-window extension is located to the left.
