Description

Cherry Tree Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on Newdigate Road in Beare Green, Capel. The building is timber framed with thin scantling, featuring whitewashed brick infilling at the bottom and fishscale tile hanging above. It has a plain tiled roof that is half-hipped to the right. There is a brick and sandstone rubble stack at the left end of the cottage, which is oriented at right angles to the street. The cottage has a larger offset stack to the left and a corbelled rear stack to the right. It stands two storeys tall with two framed bays. Each floor has two casement windows, and there is a door leading to the loft and an extension at the rear.
