Description
Home Farm is a house that dates from the 17th century and late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick, with extensions in pink brick, and features plain tiled roofs. The entrance front, which is from the 18th century, has two storeys and a hipped roof with stacks projecting at both ends. The front has a regular arrangement of five glazing bar sash windows on the first floor and four on the ground floor, all topped with painted cambered heads. The central door is made up of six panels, with the top two being glazed, set in a panelled surround that includes panelled outer shutters, and is adorned with a moulded surround and consoles supporting a cornice.
The rear wing, which is from the 17th century, stands on a plinth and has two storeys, a plat band, and a roof featuring a kneelered parapet gable with a central stack cluster. Its fenestration is irregular, consisting of wooden casements and glazing bar sashes on each floor, originally arranged in four bays. There is a central two-storey gabled porch, which has a blocked upper window with a label and raised centre, and a boarded door set in a four-centred arched doorway, complete with a moulded label and a plat band above.
