Description

The Cloisters is an estate cottage built in the late 19th century by George Devey. It is constructed from flint, rubble stone, and brown brick, featuring a rendered and tile-hung upper storey and a plain tiled roof. The building has one storey and an attic, characterized by a moulded bresummer supporting a continuous jetty. To the left, there is a projecting gabled wing with a jettied gable and a two-storey canted bay that extends up to the gable. A large stack with moulded flues is located at the left end. The right side has coved eaves, with a door set in an arch surround on imposts, and mullioned windows in the gable to the left.
