Description
Lower Lodge is an estate cottage built in the late 19th century, designed in the style of George Devey. The building is constructed of flint with brick dressing and features a plain tiled roof. It has an E-shaped plan and is one storey high with an attic. The cottage has stacks positioned to the centre right and clustered at the centre, along with one gabled dormer and one oriel window in the gable end. On the ground floor, there are three wooden casement windows. Access is provided through a boarded door located in a rustic porch within a re-entrant, as well as a panelled door on the left side, which is topped with a terracotta plaque that features the Northbourne crest and the date 1901. This building is included for its group value.
