Description
Gate Lodge to Betteshanger House is a late 19th-century building, likely designed by George Devey. It is constructed from flint and brown brick, with a rendered and framed upper section, and features a plain tiled roof. The lodge is two storeys high and has gabled roofs with projecting gables and a central cluster of stacks. On the main ground floor, there is a canted bay with wooden casements that are placed irregularly throughout the building. The rear elevation includes a pillared recess that contains an original L-shaped rustic bench fitting, along with a boarded four-centred arched doorway.
