Description
Longdane Cottage (Nos. 1 and 2) is a house built in 1751 and extended in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features an extension in yellow brick, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building stands two storeys tall and has stacks at the left end, centre, and right end. On the first floor, there are four horizontally sliding sash windows. The ground floor has two segmentally headed and keyed glazing bar sashes on the left and two wooden casements on the right. There are boarded doors located to the left and right of the centre, both adorned with fine moulded and stopped architraves; the left door features a keyed segmental head. At the rear, there is an outshot. The date "B R A 1751" is inscribed above the left-hand door.
