Description
Vine Lodge is a house dated 1716, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick, which is painted on the return elevations, and features a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys set on a plinth, with a discontinuous plat band and a hipped roof that has stacks at both the rear left and rear right. The front has a regular arrangement of windows, with three sashes on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all having painted heads. The central entrance door consists of six panels and is topped with a rectangular fanlight. To the right of the door, there is an inscription in the brick that reads: HS 1716. Inside, there is a round backed inglenook and simple panelled doors, along with a neo-classical fire surround located at the rear. The rear wing, along with the windows and roof, was altered in the 19th century.
