Description
Redberry Cottage and Yew Tree Cottage form a pair of cottages, likely rebuilt in the early 18th century, although they probably stand on the site of an earlier, timber-framed building. The construction is of painted flint and brick, with a plain tiled roof. The cottages are two storeys high, built on a plinth, and feature a hipped roof with stacks positioned at the end on the left and towards the centre left. Each floor has three sash windows, with the ground floor windows featuring segmental heads. A bay window is located on the left side. Half-glazed doors are present on both the left and right sides, each sheltered by a gabled hood. Internally, the cottages contain inglenook fireplaces and chamfered ceiling joists with run-out stops. The buildings are included on the heritage list for their group value.
