Description

Vine Cottage is an early 18th-century house located on the south side of The Street, Northbourne. Constructed of red brick with a slate roof, the house stands on a plinth and features wooden eaves to the roof, kneelered parapet gables, and stacks positioned at the left and right ends. The first floor has three wooden casement windows, while the ground floor has two sash windows; the window to the right has a segmental head. A central half-glazed door is sheltered by a flat hood supported on brackets. A later 19th-century wing was added to the rear of the property. The building is included in the listing primarily for group value, reflecting its contribution to the surrounding built environment.
