Description

The Working Men's Hostel is an altered 18th-century building that stands two storeys high with an attic. It features an asymmetrical design, with a gable on the right side that is cement-rendered up to the eaves, while the gable-end is covered with tile-hung cladding. The roof is made of old tiles.

On the gable side, there is a small sash window in the attic, along with two windows framed with architraves on both the first and ground floors. The left wing of the building has three windows on the first floor and three windows plus one plain door on the ground floor, which is sheltered by a flat hood.

The listed buildings in Middle Church Lane form a cohesive group, also connecting with other structures in and around the Churchyard, including those listed under Churchyard, Upper Church Lane (northwest side), Lower Church Lane (west end), Church Passage, and Vicarage Lane.
