Description

A pair of late 18th century cottages are located on Middle Church Lane. They are built of brick with a projecting plinth and have a wooden eaves cornice featuring brackets in pairs. The cottages have an old tile mansard roof, and each includes one two-light dormer window in the attic. The ground floors originally had one four-paned sash window, though the glazing has been altered in number 3 and in the ground floor window of number 4. Each cottage has a door set into the outside corner, framed with an architrave and a small moulded flat hood; number 4 has a more modern hood.

These cottages contribute to a group of listed buildings on Middle Church Lane, extending to include buildings around the churchyard on Upper Church Lane (north-west side), Lower Church Lane (Westend), Church Passage, and Vicarage Lane.
