Description
The churchyard wall bounding the east side of the churchyard is constructed of red brick and features red brick coping that curves up to the entrance at the north-east end. This entrance is flanked by tall 19th-century rendered gate piers with plinths and rendered tile gables above. There is a pair of 19th-century gates, each consisting of two sections; the rails have spear-shaped finials that rise to two different heights, with an inverted curved head on the top rails and lower rails that rise to a pair of horizontal rails. At the south-east entrance to the churchyard, there are rendered gate piers with plain capping, and a lamp bracket supported by an arched bar, which has an overthrow adorned with a series of small wrought iron scrolls; the lamp is currently missing. South of this point, the churchyard wall is much lower. The listed buildings in the churchyard, Church Passage, Upper Church Lane (northwest side), Middle Church Lane, Lower Church Lane (west end), and Vicarage Lane form a group.
