Description
Pound Farm House is a house dating from the 17th century, with early 20th-century extensions to the left. The building features timber framing on the left over a brick underbuild, while the right side is constructed of galleted sandstone with brick angle quoins and dressings. It has plain tiled roofs and a double gable end facing the street, with a pentice to the left. The house is two storeys high with attics in the gables, each gable containing one attic window and a corbelled stack on the left. The right gable displays a diagonal brick plaque dated "1687 W.P.".
On the first floor of each gable, there are two leaded casement windows, with the ones on the right being larger. The ground floor features two windows: a four-light window with a cambered head to the left and a two-light window in the pentice. The central entrance has a half-glazed door adorned with Gothic tracery bars, set beneath a flat hood supported by braces with spherical finials.
The right-hand return front includes an offset stone and brick double stack topped with round brick pots over a corbelled top. There is a plat band above the ground floor and a basement storey with blocked-in windows. The centre gable features a diagonal brick plaque, with leaded windows on the first floor and casement doors below.
