Description

Weavers is a house dating from the late 16th century, with 20th-century extensions at both ends. The structure features timber framing to the right of the center, with whitewashed brick infill, while the extensions to the left are also made of whitewashed brick. The building has whitewashed rubble stone on a stone plinth with brick dressings to the right. It has plain tiled roofs, with an oversailing hip to the right and a tile-hung gable across the wing to the left end. There is a ridge stack to the left of the center, along with additional stacks to the right at the center and on the right end. The house is two stories in the end wing to the left and one story with an attic under six gabled leaded lucarne windows to the center and right. The ground floor features eight windows, with those on the left end positioned under brick and tile lintels. A planked door is located to the right under a flat hood supported by moulded brackets, and there is another door to the left end in a tiled arched recess. A single-storey bow window is present on the right-hand return front, and there is a tile-hung wing at right angles to the rear. Inside, some framing is visible, mainly in the ceiling frames, along with a deep brick fireplace that has a wooden lintel.
