Description
Haldish Farm House is a house dating from the mid-16th century, with a 17th-century extension on the left and a late 19th-century extension on the right. It features a timber frame that is exposed on both floors of the central section, with whitewashed brick infilling. The extensions are also made of whitewashed brick and have tile-hung gables, all under plain tiled roofs. The house has an H-shaped plan, oriented at right angles to the lane, with gabled end wings. It stands two storeys tall and has an inserted stack to the left of the centre and another stack at the end. The central range has three bays, with four first-floor windows and one ground-floor casement. The left gable has two first-floor casements above leaded ground-floor windows, while the right gable features one square pane leaded casement on the first floor and a square bay window below. There is a half-glazed door to the left and a glazed door to the left of centre. The rear has pentice extensions. Inside, substantial framing is exposed, with chamfered spine beams on the ceiling and a chamfered brick fireplace.
