Description
The walls and railings to the front courtyard of Pendell House are a mid-18th century structure designed by Andrews Jelfe. They are made of red and blue brick, featuring iron railings at the center of the front. The walls are attached to the left end of the house at first storey height, tapering down to approximately 6 feet and curving to create an oval courtyard that measures about 50 feet long by 25 feet wide. The walls display a bold scalloped pattern and have stone spheres atop the piers. There are square piers on either side of the arched railed gates. An extension wall to the left is approximately 30 feet long and includes blind panel decoration.
