Description
This building is a barn located 12 yards north of Dwelly Farm House, dating from the 16th century with alterations from the 18th century and extensions added in the 20th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with weatherboard cladding on the main barn and an exposed imitation frame with rendered infill in the 20th-century extension. The main barn has a plain tiled half hipped roof, while the extension has a pentice roof. The barn is rectangular with three framed bays positioned at right angles to the street. It has central opposing wagon doors on the main barn, although the doors to the south are obscured by the extension. There are three 20th-century mullioned windows on the south side and double doors at the west end of the extension. The west end of the main barn features a half hipped single storey extension. Inside, there are braced posts in the wall frames, diagonal bracing on the walls, and a Queen strut roof.
