Description
Mayflower Cottage is a 15th-century cottage located in Oxsted, on Broadham Green. It is a timber-framed building with brick infill on a rubble stone plinth, with rendered infill to the right-hand return front. The eaves feature a diagonal brick course, and the roof is plain tiled with end gablets and a large stack to the left of the centre of the building. This is a hall house with a later inserted stack. The cottage has two storeys and four framed bays, with irregular casement windows. A half-glazed door is situated to the right of the centre. A pentice roofed addition extends from the rear right. The interior displays extensive exposed timber framing.
