Description
Blackleys is a 15th-century cottage that originally featured an open hall and a crosswing, though it has been altered and recently restored. The building is two storeys high and has a plain red tiled roof with two levels and an outshot on the left side. It is timber framed and plastered, adorned with decorative pargetting. The left range has two gabled dormers and six plain 20th-century casement windows. There is a 20th-century enclosed porch with a gabled plain tiled roof and a panelled door. The cottage has two red brick chimney stacks. Inside, there is a crown post roof structure in the left building, with curved braces supporting the wall. The interior also features a late 17th-century or early 18th-century door and an 18th-century fire surround.
