Description
Manor Cottage is a 18th-century cottage that has been restored and extended in the 20th century. The construction is timber-framed, with whitewashed brick cladding below and rendered infill and whitewashed brick infill above. It features a plain tiled roof with a rear ridge stack to the right of centre and at the left end. The cottage is two storeys high, with a brick dentil band above the ground floor. There are three diamond-pane leaded casement windows on the first floor, and three to the ground floor. A ribbed 20th-century door is set within a gabled brick and timber porch to the left of centre. A parallel range extends to the rear right.
Inside, the timber framing is visible, including stop-chamfered ceiling joists with run-out stops. The cottage also has deep brick fireplaces with wooden lintels.
