Description

Duke's Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was restored in the 20th century and extended. It has a timber frame with exposed white-washed brick infill and a plain tiled roof that is hipped with a gablet. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of three framed bays, featuring diagonal bracing on the first floor. There is an end stack on the left and a rear ridge stack to the right of the center. The first floor has four leaded casement windows, while there are four more below. A leaded door is located to the right of center within a gabled porch, and there is a tile-hung stack at the right end. To the left, there is a pentice with a porch on the left-hand return front, and single-storey hip-roofed extensions are present at the right end.
