Description

Hermongers is an early 19th-century mansion located on Rudgwick Rowhook. It is a half-H-shaped building of two storeys and an attic, originally featuring five windows. Two dormers are present. The exterior is faced with cement, with the ground floor rusticated, a string course, a dentilled cornice, and a parapet adorned with vases at the angles. The roof is slate, and the original glazing bars remain intact. A porch with coupled columns mirrors the vases at the angles of the parapet. Later alterations include the addition of two windows to the west on the ground floor only. An additional bay is present on the east front. The group value is that the building contributes to the character of its surroundings.
