Description
Duke's Farm House is an early 18th-century house located in Cox's Green, Ewhurst. It is constructed of red brick with grey headers and red brick dressings, featuring a wooden eaves cornice and a hipped roof made of Horsham slabs. The house has two storeys and a semi-basement, with a plat band above the ground floor and a modillion eaves cornice. There are stacks at both ends of the building.
The facade is six bays wide, with four original 12-pane glazing bar sash windows in open boxes under cambered heads on the first floor, along with two blocked windows. The ground floor has four windows and one blocked window to the left. To the left, there is a door with six fielded panels set in a panelled reveal and surrounded by an architrave, topped with a pulvinated frieze and pediment. There are lower hipped roof wings at right angles to the left side, featuring leaded casement windows.
