Description

Poyle Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was altered in the 19th century, and extended in the 20th century. The cottage has a timber frame on a brick plinth, with whitewashed brick infill. The roof is tiled, half-hipped, with diamond patterns of fishscale tiling and ridge cresting. There is a stack to the right of the centre. The front has three framed bays, braced, with irregular diamond-pane leaded casement windows. The ground floor has three windows. A gabled brick porch with a partly-glazed door is located to the left of the centre. A lower extension is set back to the right. A dormer window is located to the rear, with a porch to the rear left.
