Description

Inwood Farm Barn is an 18th-century barn that features 19th-century brick infill. It has a timber frame with brick nogging and a tiled roof that is hipped to the east and half hipped to the west. The barn includes a hipped cart entrance with double doors. It is a five-bay aisled barn with a queen post roof, through purlins, pegged rafters, and diagonal braces. The aisle posts are supported by brick padstones, and the end bay is floored over. There is curved down bracing to the main posts and ties, and halved and bridled scarves are present at the top plate.
