Description

This is a house, originally a cottage, that now comprises two separate dwellings. It dates to the early 16th century, with extensions added in the 17th century. The front of the building is timber framed and underbuilt with brick, with red brick cladding and a section stuccoed to the right end. The rear is filled with whitewashed brick. The roof is tiled, with a hipped shape on the front range.

The building is two storeys high, with three timber-framed bays. A stack (a chimney) is located at the left end, and another in the centre of the ridge. It has casement windows: two on the first floor, and three below. A glazed door is positioned to the left, within a gabled porch with a ribbed door. A further door is set back towards the left end.

A wing projects at a right angle from the rear of the main building, with two storeys and an attic in gabled sections. This wing has one casement window on each floor. A half-glazed door, again within a gabled porch and partially open against brick plinth walls, is situated in the centre of the wing, leading to the second dwelling. A further gable is set back to the right end of this wing.
